(Yicai Global) April 26 -- China's stock markets closed lower with the Shanghai Composite Index losing 1.2 percent to close at 3,086.40, the lowest this month, on turnover of CNY274.8 billion (USD40.8 billion).
The Shenzhen Component Index dropped 1.28 percent to 9780.82 as CNY349.2 billion worth of shares changed hands, while the ChiNext Index fell 0.73 percent to 1657.82 on turnover of CNY96.7 billion.
More than 2,400 stocks retreated today. The aquaculture, pork and chicken breeding sectors led declines. Fuel cell stocks also fell despite a strong advance just days ago. Edge computing, cloud computing, and digital-related equities were also among the biggest losers.
