(Yicai Global) July 19 -- Chinese e-commerce platforms, including Taobao and Pinduoduo, are filling with new artificial intelligence-generated content services such as customized profile pictures, predictions of the physical appearance of future babies, and courses to create live-streaming shows with digital humans.

Merchants offer services such as profile pictures generated by DALL-E-like image creation platform MidJourney. A customer can submit a profile picture for the merchant to create four options to finally choose the best one. Prices range from CNY9.9 to CNY40 (from USD1.40 to USD5.50).

Future parents can pay around CNY10 to predict how their children will look like one week after birth by giving a four-dimensional ultrasound image to the service provider. Some leading sellers are recording more than 1,000 deals per month. 

Buyers can pay to gain dynamic images of the AI static photos or paintings blinking, shaking their head, or talking. They can also create shapeshifting ID photos.

Machine learning experts sell tutorials and tools for AI singing, writing, photography, and design. Prices start from CNY19.90 and go as high as CNY399 (up to USD55). The most popular store on Pinduoduo has sold nearly 3,500 such courses. Some of the courses teach how to model characters for short videos or live-streaming shows on platforms such as Douyin, the Chinese version of TikTok.

Customers need to pick their services carefully as there is a great range in price and the corresponding product.
