(Yicai Global) Oct. 17 -- Chinese e-commerce platform Daojia.jd.com recently unveiled the 1020 Online Shopping Festival, an annual O2O (Online to Offline) retail event that will be available to hundreds of millions across 22 cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Hangzhou.

Nearly 70,000 physical stores, including Wal-Mart, Yonghui Superstores, Lotus, Auchan, Pagoda and Yili locations, will reportedly participate and Daojia.jd.com will set up online marketplaces for fruits and vegetables, snacks, health products and flowers.

More than 3 million of Daojia.jd.com's deliverymen will be on standby to bring goods to purchasers' homes within an hour of when they place orders.

Supermarkets, shopping malls, and the cooperation of brand owners support the event's online-offline linkage. The e-commerce site will promote efficiency and user-friendliness online. Shoppers will be able to find 1020 Online Shopping Festival promotional materials in offline stores and scan QR codes to gain access to the internet platform and discounts.
