(Yicai Global) Dec. 27 -- A Chinese international project contractor will work with its partner in Cote d'Ivoire on a project worth about EUR128 million to design and build government office buildings, data centers and supporting facilities in the country.

Representing a consortium that includes local partner Snedai Groupe, China National Complete Plant Import & Export Complete signed a contract on Dec. 24 with the country's Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development, the Beijing-based company said late yesterday.

The consortium will design the project, provide technical equipment, build and maintain related facilities and train employees involved in the project, the statement said.

The project will involve building three office buildings for the environment agency, the national pollution control center, and the agency responsible for nature reserve in Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire's largest city and de facto administrative center. It also encompasses related facilities, including exhibition centers, training centers, digital management centers, central laboratories, restaurants and coffee shops.

The group will also build administrative buildings, digital management centers, laboratories, six urban real-time data monitoring stations and 50 real-time monitoring points for environmental data in San Pedro and Bouake.

The contract will take effect after the Cote d'Ivoire government signs all financial documents with financial loan institutions and funds necessary for the project are received, the statement said, adding the contract term is 24 months after an order to start is issued.
