(Yicai Global) Sept. 01 – Guangdong Super Telecom Co. [SHA:603322], a telecommunications technology supplier, has reported a net loss of CNY3.11 million (USD470,000) in the first six months of the year, an annual slump of 132 percent.
The group's operating income grew 22% compared with last year to CNY393 million (USD59.5 million).
The company recently entered new markets in the provinces of Jiangsu, Yunnan and Fujian. These markets resulted in extra revenues of CNY66 million, though they also created CNY68 million in costs. The firm also suffered income declines in Guangxi and Sichuan provinces.
Guangdong Super Telecom is a comprehensive communications technology service provider for the construction, maintenance and optimization of communications networks. It also engages in the sale of software, with its services covering all levels of wireless, transmission and core networks.
