(Yicai Global) Feb. 18 -- Pipa Coding, a Chinese startup providing computer programming education for children, has closed A+ funding of CNY120 million (USD17.7 million), led by Hillhouse Capital Management along with existing investors XVC Venture Capital and Source Code Capital
The new round brings total A-round financing to more than CNY200 million, according to a statement from the Beijing-based firm. The company will use the funds to develop courses and research new teaching products.
Encore Capital Group served as exclusive financial adviser for the round, the company said providing further details.
Pipa Coding designs its courses based on methods used by the US Computer Science Teachers Association and refers to the Attention, Relevance, Confidence, and Satisfaction model to continuously optimize the course experience.
