(Yicai Global) May 30 -- China Building Material Test & Certification Group has won the permit to submit data on global UL SPOT sustainable products database, which provides information on environmentally friendly products for private and governmental buyers.
Californian product testing firm US UL Verification Services granted CTC a permit to provide data on local building materials on its platform, said the Beijing-based inspection company in a statement.
"China is the largest building market in the world and is quickly becoming one of the largest sustainable building markets," said Weifang Zhou, UL Consumer's president on the firm's website.
CTC's certified products will join more than 50,000 green products already on SPOT, with the aim to enable architects, designers and professional purchasers to find local products that meet their sustainability needs.
CTC is a third-party inspection service which certifies local construction and decoration materials.
