(Yicai Global) Dec. 25 -- China's central government has invested CNY3 billion (USD428 million) on renewable energy technologies since bringing in the Renewable Energy Law in 2006.
The nation has continuously increased spending on the likes of hydrogen technology and smart grids since enacting the law, according to a report published yesterday by a law enforcement inspection group under the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress.
China has produced nearly 1.9 trillion kilowatt-hours of electricity using renewable methods last year, making up 26.7 percent of the nation's total, the report added.
