(Yicai Global) Dec. 13 -- Chinese electric vehicle makers Sinogold Auto Group and Haiquan New Energy Technology have tied up by inking a collaboration agreement on a new energy vehicle-themed industrial park and joining hands to build a new NEV model, Beijing News reported.
The parties are exploring ways to cooperate and pool resources, complement each other's strengths and forge a comprehensive, long-term and diversified collaboration within the sector, according to the deal. The two companies, both based in eastern Shandong province, also aim to fully leverage policies and exploit the potential of the NEV market. The report did not provide further details.
Headquartered in Zibo, Sinogold Auto has a registered capital of about CNY1.3 billion (USD178.6 million). It researches, develops, makes and sales new energy cars, parts and components. But the number of its vehicles with auto insurances tallied just 53 in the first 10 months of the year, according to data from the insurance regulator.
Haiquan New Energy Technology is based in Jining and is mainly focused on the R&D of mini electric vehicles.
