(Yicai Global) Dec. 12 -- Huawei Technologies, Chinasoft International and the government of China's southwestern megacity of Chongqing will cooperate to build the Huawei (Chongqing) Artificial Intelligence Innovation Center and develop an ecosystem based on Huawei's Kunpeng central processing unit, Chinasoft announced today in a filing with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
Chinasoft International shares [HKG:0354] soared 7.84 percent to HKD4.54 (USD0.58) by the end of the morning session and were up by 8.08 percent to HKD4.55 in mid-afternoon on the news.
The Innovation Center will use an AI platform as its foundation in which to integrate existing domestic chips, software, terminals and other industrial resources, and open up more AI application scenarios, per the announcement. Chinasoft will utilize its advantages in IT services and experience in industrial applications to jointly build a team with Huawei.
