China's Sinofuse Scores Second EV Part Order From a Leading German Automaker China's Sinofuse Scores Second EV Part Order From a Leading German Automaker

(Yicai) Dec. 14 -- Chinese circuit protector maker Sinofuse Electric has received an order from the new energy vehicle project of a leading German carmaker, the second of this kind in two months.

Sinofuse will supply electrical parts sustainable for 500 volts direct current and 1,000 VDC to a German buyer's electric vehicle model from January 2025, the Xi'an-based company announced late yesterday, noting that the parties have yet to sign the official contract, but the deal will be exclusive. The name of the client cannot be unveiled because of a non-disclosure agreement.

The order's total value is expected to be around CNY110 million (USD15.4 million), Sinofuse added.

Becoming the designated supplier of this project indicates the client's recognition of the quality of Sinofuse's circuit breakers and the company's capability to guarantee corresponding production, Sinofuse noted.

In October, Sinofuse announced it had become the designated component supplier for two types of circuit breakers for the new EV model of a leading German automaker. The deal will likely bring the company revenue of between CNY900 million and CNY1.2 billion (USD127 million and USD169.3 million).

It is not clear whether the two orders are from the same customer.

Sinofuse mainly provides electrical fuse protection devices to industrial companies, with its clients including carmakers Tesla, BYD, and SAIC Motor, power battery giant Contemporary Amperex Technology, and telecoms titan Huawei Technologies, according to its website.

Sinofuse's shares [SHE: 301031] closed down 0.4 percent at CNY139.86 (USD19.77) in Shenzhen today.
