China's Megmeet Soars by Limit After Becoming Nvidia's New Computing System Power Supplier China's Megmeet Soars by Limit After Becoming Nvidia's New Computing System Power Supplier

(Yicai) Oct. 18 -- Megmeet's shares jumped by their daily trading limit after the Chinese automated electrical equipment and software maker said it will provide power components for the new high-performance computing system of US chip giant Nvidia.

Megmeet [SHE: 002851] surged 10 percent to CNY33.86 (USD4.76) a share as of 1.45 p.m. in Shenzhen today.

Megmeet will provide innovative power systems and solutions for Nvidia's Blackwell GB200 system, the Shenzhen-based firm announced late yesterday. The move will likely benefit the company's future turnover, it added.

The Blackwell GB200 is mainly used for high-performance computing, specifically artificial intelligence inference and training. It integrates the Blackwell’s graphics processing units with Grace’s Central Processing Unit, and is designed to improve the computing and performance of large-scale AI models.

Megmeet, a leading supplier of power solutions for communications equipment and servers, launched its power system product for the Nvidia MGX platform at the Open Compute Project Global Summit, held in San Jose from Oct. 15 to yesterday, it pointed out.

The amount of power components supplied will be subject to the agreement, Megmeet pointed out, without disclosing further details, such as how much revenue it expects to receive from the deal. The cooperation with Nvidia will help enhance Megmeet's brand influence and contribute to future business development, it added.

Megmeet's revenue from its power product business was CNY2.1 billion (USD298 million) last year, accounting for 31 percent of its total, according to its annual earnings report. Its power supply products are used for communication equipment, servers, medical equipment, photovoltaics, energy storage, charging piles, and many other industrial applications.
