(Yicai) June 13 -- Lizhong Sitong Light Alloys Group, a Chinese supplier of aluminum alloy materials and wheels, received orders worth a total of CNY9.2 billion (USD1.3 billion) from two renowned international carmakers.

Lizhong's Tianjin plant received a notification from a foreign luxury automotive brand to become its designated supplier of aluminum alloy wheels, the Hebei province-based company announced yesterday. The project, which will start mass production in August 2026 and last nine years, is expected to bring the company about CNY8.2 billion in sales.

Moreover, Lizhong's Mexican plant will become the designated aluminum alloy wheel supplier of another famous international carmaker, the firm added. The project will start mass production in March 2026 and bring sales revenue of CNY956 million (USD130 million) in six years.

Executives of Lizhong announced at the beginning of the year that the company's Mexican factory, which has an annual production capacity of 3.6 million aluminum alloy wheels, would soon be completed and put into operation. Lizhong has two other overseas plants in Thailand.

Last month, Lizhong received two aluminum alloy wheel orders for its Tianjin factory from new projects of two well-known overseas carmakers. The orders could be worth CNY1.4 billion.

Lizhong is one of China's largest suppliers of aluminum alloy wheels. Last year, it produced 21.5 million aluminum alloy wheels, over half sold to overseas clients. The company’s operating revenue from the aluminum alloy wheel business reached CNY8.8 billion last year, accounting for about 38 percent of the total, according to its latest annual report.  

Shares of Lizhong [SHE: 300428] closed up 0.16 percent at CNY19.32 (USD2.66)  in Shenzhen after opened the day up 1.6 percent today.
