(Yicai) Aug. 7 -- Chinese automotive precision parts maker Shandong Golden Empire Precision Machinery Technology has secured a deal worth CNY288 million (USD40.1 million) to supply a well-known global manufacturer of car parts and components with busbars that distribute electric current inside the vehicle, in its second such order from the same client this year.
A subsidiary has been appointed designated developer and supplier of busbars for the customer’s new energy vehicle inverters, which convert direct current output from battery packs into alternating current, the Liaocheng-based firm said yesterday. The order will run from 2025 to 2030 and will not be reflected in the company’s business performance this year.
It is the second order that Golden Empire has received from the same client, who was not named for confidentiality reasons. The first order, placed in April, was worth around CNY288 million (USD401,000) too.
Golden Empire’s revenue last year from automotive precision parts and components accounted for 41 percent of its total revenue at CNY468 million (USD65.1 million), according to its latest annual report. The firm counts Japan’s Aisin Corp, France’s Valeo and Germany’s ZF among its many international auto parts clients.
Golden Empire’s share price [SHA:603270] closed down 2.7 percent at CNY19.26 (USD2.70) in Shanghai today after up more than one percent at the open.
