(Yicai) Nov. 25 -- Shares in Eve Energy as well as Chinese lithium battery separator firms Enjie Technology and Shenzhen Senior Technology Material climbed today after the Chinese battery manufacturer penned long-term contracts with the two companies to supply battery separators to its overseas factories.

Eve Energy’s share price [SHE:300014] closed up 1.1 percent at CNY48.80 (USD6.74) today, while Enjie Tech’s stock price [SHE:002812] advanced 3.8 percent to CNY40.32 and that of Senior Technology [SHE:300568] climbed 3.4 percent to CNY11.80. The Shenzhen Component Index, the benchmark index of the Shenzhen market, closed down 0.2 percent.

Eve Energy’s units in Southeast Asia and Europe will purchase no less than three billion square meters of battery separators from Enjie Tech’s subsidiaries over the seven-year period from 2025 to 2031, Yuxi-based Enjie Tech said on Nov. 24, citing the global strategic co-operation framework agreement signed by both parties on Nov. 22.

And Eve Energy’s subsidiaries in Southeast Asia and Europe will buy at least two billion sqm of lithium battery separators from the Singapore unit of Senior Tech over the six-year period from 2025 and 2030, Shenzhen-based Senior Tech said on Nov. 22, citing the global strategic co-operation framework agreement penned by both sides on Nov. 21.

No details of pricing and other financial data were disclosed by the two companies. But both said the move will help extend their overseas footprint. Senior Tech also added that the deal will contribute to the efficient utilization of the firm's production capacity in South-East Asia.

Both companies are already suppliers to Eve Energy, which is building a factory in Malaysia that should be put into production in the first quarter next year and a plant in Hungary that should be up and running by the end of next year.

Enjie Tech sold CNY761 million (USD105 million) worth of battery separators to Huizhou-based Eve Energy last year, accounting for 6.3 percent of its total revenue, while that of Senior Tech amounted to CNY31.1 million (USD4.2 million), accounting for 1 percent of annual revenue.
