(Yicai) Oct. 9 -- China's e-commerce logistics index, which tracks the performance of logistics operations in the e-commerce sector, ticked up last month.

The index rose 0.2 point to 114.4 in September from the previous month, as demand in the e-commerce logistics sector has grown by more than 30 percent in the second half of the year, data from the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing showed today.

The index that tracks the sector’s business volume climbed 0.7 point to 131.2, with the sub-index from rural areas rebounding from a decline to increase 0.5 point to 129.4.

The road logistics price index inched up 0.17 point to 104.4. Specifically, the full-truckload figure, a gauge of bulk commodity and regional transportation, rose 0.2 point to 104.7.

As the adverse impact of extreme weather conditions eased last month, the indexes for timeliness and fulfillment remained high, the CFLP noted.
