(Yicai) Feb. 18 -- Chint Electrics will strive to build new productivity, better integrate cutting-edge technologies, including artificial intelligence, and strongly support the economic and social development vitality, according to the chairman of the Chinese supplier of low-voltage electrical equipment.

The company will go all out to find the right position in the new scientific and technological revolution and industrial transformation to achieve continuous breakthroughs, Nan Cunhui told Yicai today after attending a symposium on the private economy.

The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China yesterday held a high-level symposium on the private economy in Beijing. Chinese President Xi Jinping attended the event, delivering an important speech after listening to representatives of private entrepreneurs, according to Xinhua News Agency.

The symposium was an important meeting held at a critical juncture of the deep reconstruction of the global economic pattern and the high-quality development of the domestic economy, Nan noted.

“It was of great significance to promoting the sound and high-quality development of the private economy in the current and future periods,” he added.

Moreover, the symposium clarified the direction and injected strong impetus, making entrepreneurs unwavering in coping with internal and external challenges, Nan pointed out.

In response to the expectations of private enterprises, the symposium proposed a series of highly targeted arrangements that Nan believes will have a far-reaching impact on companies, industries, and even the whole economy and society.

Chint is a leading supplier of low-voltage electrical equipment. The photovoltaic power station business has been a rapid growth point for the company in recent years. So far, Chint has participated in the construction of nearly 700 PV power stations in over 40 countries.

The solar power station business accounted for 53 percent of Chint’s revenue in the first half of last year. As of June 30, the total capacity of the company’s power stations exceeded 17 gigawatts.
