(Yicai) Jan. 25 -- Xi'an Bright Laser Technologies has recruited Poland’s CadXpert to help the Chinese metal three-dimensional printing firm distribute its products in countries in the Baltic Sea Region as the company seeks to expand its global footprint.
Bright Laser’s European unit, BLT Europe, will supply CadXpert with metal 3D printing devices as early as the second quarter, the Xi'an-based parent company said on Jan. 23 without going into further details.
The use of metal 3D printing technologies has plenty of room to grow in the aerospace and auto industries in Poland and other countries around the Baltic Sea, said CadXpert, which has been a distributor of 3D printers in the region since 2013 and provides installation, maintenance and training services.
Bright Laser, which supplies major clients such as US aircraft manufacturer Air Bus with large-sized precision parts made from metals produced by 3D printers, is branching into more global markets. On Jan. 18, the company appointed South Korean firm Lincsolution as its agent in the region.
Bright Laser is expecting net profit to surge around 87 percent last year from the year before to CNY148 million (USD20.9 million), while revenue should jump 34 percent to CNY1.2 billion (USD169.3 million), it said in a forecast released earlier this month.
