(Yicai Global) Jan. 13 -- China UnionPay has launched its mobile payment service QuickPass at the Chinese Embassy in Nepal, allowing Chinese citizens to pay service fees using their smartphone, UnionPay International said today.
Over 150,000 Chinese tourists visited Nepal last year, making China the second-largest source of travelers to the South Asian nation, according to UnionPay.
The bank card provider now offers services at embassies in 36 countries and regions, including the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, Switzerland, Spain and Russia.
