(Yicai Global) Nov. 27 -- China will require Australian wine importers to start paying higher tariffs from tomorrow after starting to investigate them for low pricing three months ago.
Importers of Australian red wines must provide deposits that go up to a rate of 169.3 percent to China's customs authority, the commerce ministry said today, without disclosing how long the policy will continue.
On Aug. 18, the ministry launched an anti-dumping probe into Australian wines, sold in containers holding 2 liters or less.
