(Yicai Global) Nov. 28 -- China is expected to import more than 6 million tons of meat this year, of which more than 3 million tons will be pork, Ministry of Commerce of China spokesman Gao Feng said today.

The ministry will take measures to ensure relatively stable supply in the meat market in the next step, he added. Importers will be urged to cast their nets wider to increase imports of high-quality meat.
