(Yicai Global) Jan. 11 -- China's stocks rose slightly today after a weak opening with many recently listed companies hitting the maximum allowed daily increase on the country's A-share market.
The Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.74 percent to close at CNY2,553.83 with a trading volume of CNY122.4 billion (USD18 billion). The Shenzhen Component Index rose 0.61 percent to close at 7,474.01 with a turnover of CNY173.8 billion. The Growth Enterprise Index, also in Shenzhen, closed 0.2 percent higher at 1,261.56 with CNY53.8 billion exchanged.
Sectors including fuel cells, superconductors along with Beidou navigation were among the biggest gainers, in addition to the recent listers. More than 2,400 stocks closed higher, with more than 60 hitting the limit up.
Biopharmaceuticals, industrial park development, shipping sectors led the falls.
