(Yicai Global) Aug. 5 -- China's stock markets extended their losses after opening down this morning following a decline in global financial market last week.
The Hong Kong board took the biggest hit as the Hang Seng Index dropped 2.85 percent to 26,140.72 at half break, after opening at a near seven-month low of 26,480.47.
The Shanghai Composite Index closed at 0.81 percent lower at 2,844.47 at lunch time. The Shenzhen Component Index was at 9,081.73, down 0.6 percent and the ChiNext Price Index, which tracks growth enterprises in Shenzhen, fell 0.34 percent to 1,551.47.
