(Yicai Global) Sept. 26 -- Chinese stock markets opened up, and gold shares slumped after the price of the precious metal plunged yesterday.
The Shanghai Composite Index opened at 2964.48, up 0.31 percent; The Shenzhen Component rose 0.28 percent to 9698.28. The ChiNext Price Index added 0.31 percent to 1,677.79.
Gold shares rose 3 percent at the opening. The price of the safe-haven metal fell USD30 yesterday.
