(Yicai Global) Dec. 5 -- China's stock markets all opened down this morning. The Shanghai exchange managed to climb back to flat after starting weak while small-cap companies took the biggest hit.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index was flat at 3,309.71 points at 10:10 am after opening 0.24 percent lower.
The Shenzhen Component Index was at 11,011.07 points, down 0.03 percent after opening down 0.24 percent.
The Growth Enterprise Index, made up mostly of small-cap companies, was down 0.46 percent at 1,789.58 points after shedding 0.17 percent at opening.
