(Yicai Global) Jan. 16 - China's stock markets opened somewhat jumbled as the computer applications sector outstripped the other gainers, starting out more than 2 percent higher.

The Shanghai Composite Index began the day 0.05 percent down at 2,569.07 points. The Shenzhen Component Index set off from 7,545.35 points, 0.03 percent lower than yesterday's close.
