(Yicai Global) July 23 -- Shares on the Shanghai's Nasdaq-style SSE Star Market flopped today after soaring yesterday on the new board's debut, but Chinese stock markets closed higher overall.
The Shanghai Composite Index ended at 2,899.94, up 0.45 percent. The Shenzhen Component Index rose 0.58 percent higher to 9,175.83. The ChiNext Price Index, which tracks growth enterprises listed in Shenzhen, increased 1.25 percent to 1,534.93.
