(Yicai Global) Jan.3 -- Trading on China's stock market was mixed this morning. After opening down, the country's A-share market reacted strongly in the first half hour before retreating somewhat.
The Shanghai Composite Index was on par with yesterday's close at 2,465.36 points at the break with CNY67.5 billion (USD9.8 billion) swapped. The index was up nearly 1 percent at around 10.00 a.m. before retreating.
The Shenzhen Component Index closed down 0.29 percent at 7,128.21 points with a turnover of CNY91.6 billion while the Growth Enterprise Index dipped 0.33 percent to 1,224.74 points and CNY29.4 billion was exchanged.
The securities brokerage sector led the market, posting a 2.76 percent rise. A total of 16 sectors posted gains, while close to 30 industries suffered losses, led by liquor, agricultural products and healthcare.
