(Yicai Global) Aug. 28 -- The three major indexes of China's major stock markets closed up in the morning session today, with some notable rises in finance stocks and the "Growth Enterprise Index."

Shanghai Composite Index pulled back from morning highs, but still closed up 0.86 percent at 3360.17 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index was up 1.69 percent at 10,839.05 points.

The Growth Enterprise Index had a significant rise, soaring 2.18 percent to 1852.41 points.

Broker stocks were up 4.72 percent in early trading; shares in the computing sector rose 2.89 percent on average; and insurance shares surged 2.25 percent. The finance stocks pushed up the SSE 50 Index, which closed 1.26 percent higher at 2740.39.
