(Yicai Global) May 30 -- State-owned China Southern Airlines will become the dominant airline at the Beijing Daxing International Airport with the largest share of flights and the most passengers transported, China News Service reported yesterday.

China Southern's base at the facility will be finished on June 30 and enter operations on Sept. 20, the same time as the airport, the Guangzhou-based firm revealed at a press conference.

China Southern's will make up 40 percent of the airport's total flight schedule and carry 40 percent of passengers.

China Southern flights from southern and central China will take 30 minutes to 40 minutes less time to land at Daxing than those at Beijing Capital International Airport, the firm noted.

China Southern Airlines will put on over 200 aircraft to take off from and land at Daxing for over 900 times a day till 2025.

The hub is located at the junction of Beijing's Daxing and Hebei province's Langfang. The first stage to be finished has an annual throughput capacity of 45 million passengers and this figure will rise to 72 million when the second stage is completed in 2025.
