(Yicai Global) Dec. 22 -- The value of China's smartphone exports is forecast to climb 5 percent to USD120 billion this year, despite reduced volume as manufacturers shifted production to other countries, it was revealed at a session of the Chinese Electronics & Household Electrical Appliances Enterprises International Summit.

In the 10 months through October, the number of exports fell by 6 percent to 958 million, but average unit prices rose by 11 percent to USD95.6, pushing total exports up 4.4 percent on the year to USD91.6 billion, data from China Customs shows.

Handsets may have declined in terms of units shipped, but exports of phone parts from China increased 8.2 percent on the year to USD28.3 billion over the 10-month period.
