(Yicai Global) Aug. 15 -- China Resources Sanjiu Medical & Pharmaceutical will join hands with Tokyo's Ryukakusan, the maker of eponymous sore throat medicine, to sell the herbal drug in China.
China Resources Sanjiu and Ryukakusan have reached an agreement, under which China Resources will use celebrity marketing to promote the product that will be distributed online and offline, including via pharmacies, the Shenzhen-based firm said in a statement on its Sohu account.
Ryukakusan is a popular item that Chinese tourists buy when visiting Japan, the Chinese firm said, adding that the product is sold in the special administrative region of Hong Kong, as well as in South Korea and the US.
China Resources Sanjiu's [SHE:000999] stock price fell 2.4 percent to CNY27.8 (USD4) this morning.
