(Yicai Global) Jan. 23 -- The Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Communist Party of China is investigating National Energy Administration Deputy Director Wang Xiaolin, per the CCDI's website.
Wang, 54, got his position at the agency in 2015 after working for about 20 years at China Shenhua Energy Co., the country's largest coal producer, according to a copy of his curriculum vitae posted on the CCDI website.
He started serving as Shenhua's deputy general manager in 2006.
The Wang probe follows investigations into several senior officials that authorities carried out as part of China's anti-corruption campaign.
Some 58 officials at the provincial and ministerial level or higher received punishments for discipline violations last year, according to the CCDI.
