(Yicai) Jan. 20 -- China plays a vital role in the discussions at the World Economic Forum, and this is reflected in the agenda for this year’s event, Sheikh Tanjeb Islam, head of the forum's event editorial team, told Yicai in a recent interview.
“There's a lot of demand for our constituents to really deep dive into the Chinese economy,” said Tanjeb. He also revealed that the forum will hold a symposium on China’s financial industry, as well as focusing on international issues such as China’s relations with the United States and the European Union.
The WEF Annual Meeting, held in Davos, Switzerland, is a key global event where leaders from governments, businesses, and civil society come together to discuss pressing global issues.
This year’s five-day event, which kicks off today, is themed Collaboration in the Age of Intelligence, reflecting the growing importance of artificial intelligence and other smart technologies.
“We have the understanding that is needed to ensure that we are able to lift all sectors and all companies and all countries together,” said Tanjeb said.
