(Yicai Global) Sept. 9 -- China's central government will offer one-time subsidies of between CNY500,000 (USD70,170) and CNY5 million to companies planning to re-build pig farms or open large-scale swine breeding facilities before the end of 2020.
The National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs are offering the money primarily to support infrastructure, epidemic prevention, manure treatment, aquaculture control and automated feeding, they said in joint statement today.
The subsidies may not exceed 30 percent of the cost of the farm.
