(Yicai Global) June 15 -- China’s natural gas production climbed 10.1 percent annually to 78.8 billion cubic meters in the first five months of this year, according to official data published today.

Natural gas output in May was up 12.7 percent at 15.9 billion cubic meters, figures from the National Bureau of Statistics show.
China imported 40.1 million tons over the first five months, up 1.9 percent. Imports in May were up 3.7 percent at 7.84 million tons.
