(Yicai Global) June 6 -- China Mobile, the nation's largest mobile service provider, will open fifth generation wireless network communication services in more than 40 cities by the end of September.
 

Yang Jie, China Mobile Chairman made this prediction at a ceremony marking the grant of China's first set of 5G service licenses today.
 

Hong Kong-listed China Mobile also will sell more than 30 types of 5G smartphones and digital terminals by the end of the year in cooperation with various manufacturers, Yang added. The company will also set up a CNY30 billion fund to invest in 5G application startups, he said.
 

China Mobile, China Telecom, China Unicom and China Broadcasting Network were the first operators awarded 5G licenses.
