(Yicai Global) Feb. 13 -- China's military, the People's Liberation Army, will send another 2,600 medical workers to Wuhan, the epicenter of the coronavirus epidemic, to help the locals fight against the deadly disease after another 245 sufferers died yesterday. China's CCTV reported today.

The personal will help at two local hospitals with a combined 1,560 beds, CCTV reported today. The first batch of 1,400 workers will arrive today.

China's military will have sent 4,000 staff to Wuhan to help tackle the epidemic, including the latest additions. Hubei, of which Wuhan is the provincial capital, added 14,840 new confirmed cases yesterday, the largest daily increase since the outbreak began as local health authorities start included clinically diagnosed cases in the confirmed category.
