China's Mainland Stock Markets Suffer in Morning Session

(Yicai Global) July 8 -- Stock markets on the Chinese mainland fell consistently throughout morning trade today after opening lower than last week's closes.

The Shanghai Composite Index hit the lunch break down nearly 2.5 percent at 2,936.97. The Shenzhen Component Index was at 9,202.11, down 2.55 percent and the ChiNext Price Index, which tracks growth enterprises in Shenzhen, 2.56 percent lower at 1,508.16.
