(Yicai Global) Aug. 7 -- Stock markets on the Chinese mainland stumbled through this afternoon after a mixed session this morning.

The Shanghai Composite Index wound up 0.32 percent at 2,768.68. The Shenzhen Component Index closed at 8,814.74, down 0.5 percent, and the ChiNext Price Index, which tracks growth enterprises in Shenzhen, finished 0.5 percent lower at 1,500.25.
