(Yicai Global) June 25 -- China's financial sector partially repaired the dent it put in the mainland stock markets today as the three major indexes recovered some of their losses in afternoon trade.

The Shanghai Composite Index closed 0.87 percent lower at 2,982.07. The Shenzhen Component Index finished at 9,118.10, down 1 percent, and the ChiNext Price Index, which tracks growth enterprises in Shenzhen, ended 1.06 percent lower at 1,498.47.
