China's Mainland Stock Markets Get Off to Poor Start After Waning Yesterday

(Yicai Global) June 26 -- China's mainland stock markets opened in a slump this morning, extending yesterday's decline.

The Shanghai Composite Index opened 0.6 percent lower at 2,964.62. The Shenzhen Component Index started at 9,064.13, also down 0.6 percent, and the ChiNext Price Index, which tracks growth enterprises in Shenzhen, began the day 0.53 percent down at 1,490.56.
