(Yicai Global) Oct. 11 -- China's main-board stock markets closed high after a flat opening, the Growth Enterprise Index slightly pulled back from the high today by the close of the morning session.

The Shanghai Composite Index edged up 0.33 percent to 3,394.27 points at the close of early trading, with a turnover of CNY138.5 billion.

The Shenzhen Component Index was slightly up 0.08 percent to 11,338.02 points, with CNY210.8 billion exchanged. 

The Growth Enterprise Index pulled back from the high of 1924 points, down 0.4 percent to 1,909.72 points, turning over CNY66.8billion.

The Liquor and beverage stocks performed well in morning trading, up 3.69 and 3.08 percent respectively.
