(Yicai Global) Nov. 24 -- China's logistics sector intensified its pace of expanding in October amid the country's economic recovery.
The total value of social logistics rose 2.5 percent to CNY229.3 trillion (USD43.9 trillion) in the first 10 months of this year from a year ago, according to data that the China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing released today. The increase was 0.5 percentage point higher than during the first nine months.
Industrial logistics has widened rapidly, and particularly, the volume of delivered high-end manufacturing equipment has risen by more than 10 percent for four straight months, said He Hui, director of the China Logistics Information Center.
The figures are in line with retail trends. The total value of delivered consumer goods jumped by 13.8 percent during the first 10 months and the growth rate was 0.9 percentage point higher than that from January to September.
