(Yicai Global) Jan. 11 -- China's northeastern Liaoning province will provide CNY500 million (USD73.7 million) for cities that nurture closer economic ties with the eastern province of Zhejiang, as part of what authorities call an "enclave economy."

The term refers to an economic cooperation model in which two independent regions with development gaps blur their administrative boundaries to supplement one another's resources and coordinate mutual economic growth.

To boost their economies, cities in Jilin province, which borders Russia and North Korea, and Zhejiang on the east coast, are already cooperating in areas such as industrial development, innovation and management.
