(Yicai Global) Sept. 7 -- China's Kangde Xin Composite Material Group Co. [SHE:002450] has kicked off a comprehensive cooperation with South Korea's Samsung Electronics Co. on naked-eye three-dimensional product development, and they will release a naked-eye 3D device soon.
The Chinese firm said that the companies entered into an agreement in Beijing yesterday. Both believe that naked-eye 3D technology is a major trend in the display market, so they have formed a long-term strategic partnership.
The pair will start in-depth collaboration on a worldwide scale to boost the development and application of the new technology, and they will introduce a naked-eye 3D device to improve customer experience, Kangde Xin Composite Material Group said.
The Jiangsu-based business acquired the Netherland's Dimenco Holding BV in January last year and became the only organization in the world with a complete set of naked-eye 3D patents, per its website. It established a naked-eye 3D alliance with leading Dutch electronics manufacturer Koninklijke Philips Electronics NV [NYSE:PHG] and Dolby Laboratories Inc. [NYSE:DLB], the global leader in audio equipment development.
Samsung is the largest multinational group in South Korea and one of the best-selling smartphone brands in the world.
