(Yicai Global) Oct. 12 -- Juneyao Air flew China’s first new intercontinental air route of the year today, arriving in the Finnish capital this morning from Zhengzhou, central Henan province, online news outlet The Paper reported.
The Zhengzhou-Helsinki route is a weekly return flight that connects northern Europe with Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport, a major global air freight hub. Last year, the airport operated 29 international commercial flight routes, including five intercontinental ones. It handled passenger throughput of over 29 million people.
Shanghai-based Juneyao air also operates the air link between Shanghai and Helsinki.
