(Yicai Global) Dec. 26 -- Some 800 representatives went to the 11th China-Japan Comprehensive Forum on Energy Saving and Environmental Protection in Tokyo on Dec. 24, state-run Xinhua News Agency reported.
Attendees held exchanges and signed agreements on 23 cooperation projects covering policy, research and development, and investment in energy conversation, environmental protection, recycling, new energy and trade.
They discussed six topics -- third-party market cooperation in energy conversation and environmental protection, energy conversation management, recycling, intelligent and new energy vehicle development, clean coal technology and coal-fired generation, and long-term trade between China and Japan.
China’s National Development and Reform Commission and Japan’s New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization signed a memorandum on deepening practical cooperation in energy saving and environmental protection areas through enhancing communication on projects, policies, technological cooperation and people-to-people exchanges.
China will continue to support the development of green circulation and energy saving and environmental protection industries, and enhance communication and practical cooperation with Japan and other countries, Chinese Vice Minister of Commerce Gao Yan said.
Since its debut in 2006, the China-Japan Comprehensive Forum on Energy Saving and Environmental Protection has provided a platform for enterprises, research organizations and local governments of the two countries to enhance cooperation.
