(Yicai Global) June 19 -- China will start a review over anti-dumping measures applicable to seamless alloy steel tubes for high-temperature pressure originated in the US and the EU, the commerce ministry said on its website.

It follows an application submitted by a Chinese enterprise operating in the field.

On May 10, Inner Mongolia North Heavy Industries Group submitted an application to the ministry of commerce on behalf of the relevant Chinese industry, asking for the review on dumping and dumping margins, the ministry said.

The company claimed that the dumping margin of the seamless alloy steel tubes for high-temperature pressure exported to China from the US and the EU has been increased, exceeding the current applicable anti-dumping duty rate.

China decided to impose anti-dumping duties on imports of seamless alloy steel tubes for high-temperature pressure originated in the US and the EU for five years effective from May 10, 2014, with a tax rate of 13 percent to 14.1 percent.

Upon examination, the ministry held that the application met the conditions for filing a case for period review as stipulated in the Anti-dumping Regulations of the People's Republic of China and the Rules for the Period Review of Dumping and Dumping Margin. It decided to start a period review over the said products on June 16.
