(Yicai  Global) Jan. 17 -- Authorities in China's Hunan province have selected  Shunya International Brand Consulting to act as its monitor for online  videos in the country's southern province.

Shunya has agreed a framework agreement with the province's internet regulator, the Beijing-based firm said in a statement.

In  accordance with the terms agreed, Shunya will develop a system for  monitoring public opinions in online videos using artificial  intelligence and computer-based vision technologies to help the  authority bolster its ability to check on public opinions while  analyzing and studying data procured.

Both  sides will work together on establishing a research and development  facility in Hunan for making the data gathered more secure.
